power handling

If a subwoofer's rated power handling is 50-270 watts RMS and peak is 540 is it ok to put 300 watts on it daily. My amp runs 150 watts x2 at 4ohm and 300x2 watts at 2ohms. Just checking your suggestion on this matter. The sub is a polk audio DXI. Or the infinity 1060 says 275 RMS and 1100 peak. Box is a small sealed. .65 cuft per sub

I'm sure you'll be ok as long as you don't clip it. However you can set the gain a little lower to make up for the difference if you are worried.
