Power handling AQ vs DC

IM looking for a couple 15"s that can handle 2000wrms each. AQ advertises 1000wmrs for the HDC3A and the same for the DC lvl 4. I know these subs can safely handle more. What are you pushing to your HDC3 COPPER and DC LVL 4?

Unfortunately money is an issue, thats why if i can safely run HDC3 copper or DC lvl 4(maybe with lvl 5 coils). Let me know what you think? any other suggestions in the $700 price range for 2 15"S

Hdc will take 2000wrms no problem as long as the signal is clean. no clipping.

couple of guys on our team have ran 2k plus on copper coils.

and 3.5k plus on there alum coils

BTL's are rated at 2kwrms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You could easily pick up a pair of used 15's in your price range, idk about brand new though.

dcs sound good on the lows very clear. but aq's sound good enough for the money just go with a little less port area (14-15 sq inches per cube) and they sound better. only go with 16+ if your not chasing numbers on the meter. Almost sounds louder to the ear to have a clearer note, but with the big port they meter better just sounds like a big poof of air.

I listen to a little bit of everything. Mainly hip hop and rap. I plan on tuning around 35 hertz. The DC XLs would be a no brainer but if I spend $700 or under I can still afford a HO alt. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

go with whatever is cheaper. both are good companies
Yes, but if the lvl 4 with 5coils can't take the power then it's not worth it. If they can that's probly what I will get. Plus HDC3 d1 15"s are out of stick right now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I think a fairer comparision would be the DC XLs vs the HDC3s, even though the XLs are not in your budget....the Level 4s are nice subs, I had a single 18 on 1200w off a Kicker 1200.1 and sounded great, but I would not have feed it much more, seemed very happy on 1200w. The HDCs however, would eat that 1200w up easly, sound great, and still be able to handle more.

Both are nice subs from good companies, just depends on what you going to push them with powerwise.
