Power for Pioneer REV 6x8's

Buddy has 90WRMS (Can't remember what amp) going to his, and they sound great. I don't know if there is any difference in the 6x8's as opposed to the 6x9's, when it comes to power.

I was thinking about running one of my Planet Audio tube amps on them....which I know would be safe...my other choice is my TRU T 2.100 which I read puts out considerable more than 100 x 2 rated...and wasn't sure if the TRU would be too much for them....

Im kind of curious about this as well, I would like to install a pair of the 6.5s for rear fill in my car, (they have the same power handling 60w RMS) but I have a Orion 4002 that puts out 100x2 at 4ohm.

I honestly think overpowering them is fine, just be smart and careful with the gains. Perhaps the Planet Audio since it would be closer to their RMS? Im not sure what it puts out though, just throwing some advice out their.
