power for a DD

i just purchased a new 9515g dual .5 and right now it is being powered by an earthquake phd 10000 w/2 its being run at 1 ohm and doesnt seem to be feeding enough power to it

So i want to upgrade to something better. What would you guys suggest?

I was thinking of two sundown 1500D's and strapping them. Would the sub be able to handle it?

Prolly be about the same power...think they got like 5k out of 2 1500ds strapped...but ill let some others comment

The power rating on that sub and most subs depends on your box and your "music" you are playing.

well the box is about 4.5 cubes tuned to 35 hz and i plan to play alot of bass heavy music daily. It would be used quite a bit.

As long as you got 1500-3000 watts to it, you should be ok.

Pretty sure the SD's should be strapped at 2ohm, might want to check their site to verify...

give it 3k and call it good...

why did you buy a dual .5 ohm sub?

unless you wanna wire your stuff down to .25 or 1 ohm... but than again I would just get a d2....
