power antenna

Okay, so this is a stupid question.... and i prolly know the answer, but.. im trying to hook up my power antenna and amp. What it looks like to me is that both the remote line and power antenna line go to the blue wire? I tried hooking up just the power antenna to see if it would come up when the h/u was on tuner mode and off when the cd player turns on.. it didnt work, so i just hooked it up to the 12v lead. and now it is always on. So is the power antenna supposed to go to the blue wire to function correctly? the h/u is a pionner premier deh p680mp, and it has a spade connector for the power antenna/remote turn on, so if needed i can just put both wires into the male connector and crimp them together...

Are there two blue wires in the harness for that Pioneer? One with a white stripe and one without?

does you HU have a solid BLUE and then a Blue/white? the solid blue is what goes to your antenna, and only powers up when the HU in on radio.

if you just have a blue/white (rem wire) then hook both your amp turn on wire and the antenna wire. this means you antenna will power up when you HU is on.

all it has is 1 solid blue wire. there isnt a blue with a white stripe
