Power and ground sizes?

Does it matter?

I have 4 gauge power wire, and i have 2 gauge ground, does this matter at all or should i have 4 gauge for both?

as long as your ground is equal, or bigger then the power you are fine. if you had 2 gauge power, and 4 gauge ground, then it would be a problem
