power acoustik ptid-8920b

I am installing a power acoustic ptid8920b in my 02 chevy truck. I have everything wired correctly, ie speaker and power connections. The unit will open the flip screen and accept a cd but it wont power up the display or play audio.it will not stay powered up. I have connected directly to the battery and connected a speaker to test and it does the same thing. Thanks for your help.

If you connected both the red and yellow power wires to the battery and it still does not perform correctly you may have a defective unit.
