Power Acoustik FUBAR 12W Proper enclosure?

Hey guys, I'm just wondering what you would recommend for an enclosure for it.

I listen to mostly fast rock/metal, but do however like rap songs every once in a while.

What would one recommend for a good balance?

Volume, tuning freq, etc? Something I'm missing?

Should I just use another woofer altogether lol?

At the moment it sits sealed in a 1.3cube enclosure but the basket takes up a bunch of that. It does not sound too good.

It's is receiving ~600rms at the moment.

Thanks a bunch,

Ron

The most properly suited enclosure is probably the trash can IMO.

Yeah I could try that, but I have a feeling the trash can will flex too much?

I'll try adding threaded rod supports through it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

in all honesty im not going to bash ur equip cuz mine aint up to par either..... but

3 cubes before sub displacement at 31 hz. did a box for a guy that had the same woofer sounded cool.

****, I already don't have much trunk space left, that'll put me way over lol.

Whose the cheapest with enclosure builds on the forum? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If you're trying to get ride of the muffled bass sound, you can't. The surround causes this sound. The Fuber 10W (FX) series is a better sub. A 1.5 cu. ft. ported box with a 3" x 6.5" port. That should make it tuned to 40hz. You could go with a .75 cu. ft. sealed box. Also add some Acusta-Stuf. It will make a world of a difference.... buy the 5 lb. bag....
