Power Acoustik Amp?

I was thinking about getting a power acoustik amp that is rated at 3200 watts rms @ 1 ohm. Does anybody know if these are bad amps and if they are overrated? I was also wondering if the THD .5% is going to make a noticable difference?

Thanx for your input.

if your speaking of the a3000db then ive heard good and bad things ...more good than bad...they want do a full 3000 rms but close so it all really depends on how much you trying to spend take your time and look around on the forum for awhile and you might run into something that is much better quality for around the same price just my 2cents

My friend had one of the newer SL model amplifiers and got rated at 1600+ watts @ 2 ohms. Hit about mid 140's with it and would never overheat. I have heard bad things about them too but more good.

Yes, thats whats nice about them.. Never even get close to over heating.. Stay very cool.

i loved my a3000db. did rated rms power (2300w rms). at 12v they perform well. at 14v they can be played all day long and will not even get warm. for a cheap amp, they are very very reliable
