The Specs for the Power Acoustik are:

RMS @ 4 Ohm: 1100 watts x 1 chan.

Rms @ 2 Ohm: 1800 watts x 1 chan.

RMS @ 1 Ohm: 2300 watts x 1 chan.

Peak power is 3000 Watts

Specs for the Hifonics are:

RMS @ 4-Ohm: 1 x 650-Watt

RMS @ 2-Ohm: 1 x 1300-Watt

RMS @ 1-Ohm: 1 x 2000-Watt

Peak Power @ 1 Ohm is 3500-4000 watts

The Hifonics is a about 30-50 dollars more but I heard that Power Acoustik are normally not "true" watts meaning at 1 Ohm the specs say it is 2300 watts RMS and would only give it 1800 or so...I have never heard one bad thing about Hifonics...the only problem I have with the Hifonics is nowhere does it say that it has a 4 way protection circuit...which is important to have I think...I don't know...I'm still learning...but anyways...I am trying to stay between 3-4 hundred dollars...and whichever amp I pick will be used to power 2 Kicker Solo Baric L7 12's....the 2006 models...in a ported box.....any suggestions?

id go with the PA but thats just me...they are both aroudn the same quality buildwise but ive heard many more good things than bad about that series of PA amps over the brutus series.....which has had many bad reviews of late
