well, i just want to run this amp at 1 ohm to a single '06 15" L7. I will definately have anough power. will 2300 watts be way to much for the 15L7 to handle?

That amp puts out 2100 rms @ 1 ohm...

"clipped" is bad power, even if underpowering a sub if it's a clipped signal it'll kill your subs. i'm sure a complete explanation can be found be searching
