Nice choices....

My argument is the OP's statement about target/ball for defense. We all know that for defense, we want stopping power.

Ball ammo will just not deposit enough energy into the target where as ammo designed for defense will.

And on a side note...

I carry a Springfield Ultra Compact Fully Loaded 1911. I use Ranger SXT's in this one.

Back up is a ( just aquired) Ruger LCP in .380. I have been using the Win. Supreme Elite 95gr bonded but I shall give your suggestion a try.

I've got a kimber 1911 sitting here. I need to work on that one as well.

where does that say i use ball ammo for self defense? i said get hit in the chest with a 115gr target ammo, and then 124gr and see if your going to tell a difference. your not if that was the case the size of the .45 and supposable "superiority" of it 9mm wouldn't exist as a defense handgun..

Well if that were true then (by your own type of comparison) defense ammo would not exist.

And one would most likely be able to tell....one round will only deposit 20% of its energy where as the other style will deposit almost 100% of its energy....

I do not prefer Glock's as well but EVERYONE that I have ever shot has done so perfectly and accurate. I will not knock them in any way.

I like my 1911 over my glock. That is why I carry my glock, I don't want to scratch my 1911.
