Does the location of the port in a box make any difference. Most of the boxes that I have seen have the port facing the same way as the sub but for my box the port will need to be on the side. Would this be a problem?

Nice thread title, fella.

Was it you that did that or did someone with some editing power pull a fast one on ya?

I've seen many an enclosure that the ports faced perpendicular to the side that the driver was mounted in so I wouldn't think it would matter too terribly so long as the port(s) are measured such so that they are appropriate to the sub(s) you're using them with.

i am getting ready to build a box with the sub on top and the port on the bottom end facing towards the rear of my trunk. box is 2 cubes tuned to 32Hz for one 13Ov.2 and will be in a 2003 dodge neon. will this cause a problem or will it help things? i was told it would help things...
