Possibly WTT/WTB: Alpine CDA-7998/9835

I have a CDA-9887 in perfect condition and love it. It is 3 months old. But I had the 7998 back in the day and loved it as well. So, I am considering either buying outright/trading my 9887 for a 7998 or 9835. My only thing is I am not sure I want to give up the iPod controls, but I'm trying to get a feel for what is out there. I may end up keeping the 9887 and just buying a 7998 or 9835. So if someone out there has either one of these decks, LMK! Not looking for the 9855 as I hated the gay Glide Touch. Biggest mistake Alpine ever made. Want the same features as my 9887 (minus IMPRINT) but in an older Alpine model basically. Not really interested in any other brands. Thanks!

don't forget about the 9833. It's basically a 9835 w/o the biolite display
