alright, im looking to use a CRX for an SPL project, or possibly a caravan (as REQ and them are using) id LIKE the CRX though, the van comes cheaper though! not sure what class i run, but it will depend on the vehicle im sure, as i prolly wouldnt wall off a hatch back lol, would somewhat be pointless. MECA seams to be the more locals based saction, as it sorta floats around tennessee and surrounding areas, as well as a few in my own state. im going to do AS1 this season most likely, and build this for next season, whats a good point to start at? I have an idea of a setup I could use in the CRX but the van I have no clue. The amps are most likely going to be IA 20.1'a....................whodathunkit. off to read through the rule books of all the different classes. im HOPING this becomes a father/son/younger cousin build

Buy a termlab, alot of glue / resin, and alot of nails.

Also make sure you dont live within 50 feet of anyone's house . Don't want to get the cops called everytime you bust out a 50Hz tone lol.

As for running AS1, you are really limiting yourself as to how much equipment you can run.

Also, on a side note, they are revamping the rules for next year. AS will now be metered at the headrest with music only, no tones. Also, just like last year, the car has to be off.

So you're looking at the 2007 year?

I wouldn't plan that far ahead. Lots of rules change every year. One thing that may be legal next year may not the next, or a drastic change (such as the fuse rule) may be made from one season to the next.

You never know what is going to happen. Thats why you have to stay up to date with everything.

I'd say hold off on building/buying anything until you are sure about what class you want to run, and know all the new rules.

well im looking at modified because radx would be a huge jump into the whole competeing deal lol. but would deffinately be fun as all hell. but as far as who can compete in what, can u have two cars under your name to run in two difference classes? say we tow the mod car up, and i follow in the mustang to run AS level.

like tommy is sayin, build for whats ahead of ya, dont wanna get to far ahead of yaself and end up havin to redo everything, so juss build for this yr and adjust for the 07 if need be

i dont have the money to out and buy a caravan for this season. was lookin at working all of 06 really to fund it, and try and move out, do it little by little and build in the winter.
