Possible headunit won't fit in my car?

I am not buying from here, but Crutchfield is saying that the Kenwood KDC-X692 will not fit in my car.

How is this possible if I can buy a mounting kit for the same vehicle?

they want you to get a GM din and 3/4 or din and a half probably, i beleive that works by exact fit.

hmm i just tested my car out on crutchfeild, a 2000 alero and it gave me everytihng from 1-2 din popouts, built in video and all, and i was sure mine was 1.75 or 1.5??

just get it, ignore crutchfield, if it dosent fit, make it fit

ive never had a problem putting radios in a malibu

Its just a single din HU, it will fit in ANY car, unless you've got like a model T or something.
