Well im looking for a sub amp that can push my 2 12' cvrs. They are 4 ohm final, but i could re-wire them to 1 ohm final. They are rated at 800 rms altogether. Some people say that i should go for a higher rated amp, like say 1000 rms, to properly power the subs, but im not sure. could someone tell me why i should do this, or if i should?

A kenwood kac 9104d link -

Kenwood KAC-9104D (kac9104d) Mono Subwoofer Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix

This guy said he was asking 200 but could do 150, but it seems like he might go down even lower on it.

Maybe this link will make the decision easier for you.

And you go bigger so the amp can work less....helps it last longer....in your case going from 800 to 1000 watts won't make too much different but sometimes people go larger to allow room for upgrade down the road

did it sound good tho?

And alot of online stuff is saying that this amp will cut out at times due to not enough power from their alternater, and i am running all stock electrical, would this be an issue?
