So, I cant get the bolt for the bump knob out the insert where it bolts in on the shaft just spins and I cant for the life of me stop it from spinning to get the bolt out tried vice grips all that sh*t any ideas except sledge hammer? I would just drill it out but i dont think that would do any good seeing the shaft is just spinning?

Will a strap wrench get tight enough to hold it in place anyone used these before?

With most weed whackers I know of you don't have to remove the spool to rewind it. Usually there are two arrows you have to line up, then put the string in the hole or something.

a strap wrench will hold it tight enough if you got one

you can elso remove the engine from it and there will be a flexible keyed drive shaft you could just use some vice grips on that if you cant think of anything else
