Ported Truck Box

In designing a ported truck box would I want the ports to fire towards the cab corners (out the sides of the box)?

Something along those lines. Mines a reg cab, though, so the sub will be firing forward... and I was going to try to hide the ports internally.

I guess, what I'm wondering is, should I just keep it simple by running a single port. or would I benefit from having two ports (one to each side)?

Fire the ports up, every truck box I've ever built the ports were always firing upwards to get the best bass response especially in a standard cab pickup.

It seems like firing upwards would introduce port noise. Am I wrong?

definatly port out the bottom of the box firing toward the passenger side of truck.just do 1 bigger port,not 2,1 out each side,just do 1 toward passenger side.
