Ported, or Not?

I currently have a single 12" Type R in a ported box... sounds very nice.

But now I want to redesign how my sub is installed the vehicle.

I can fit 2 12" Type R's sealed, or the 1 Ported... Which would be best? Or is this a very close call? Can I get anywhere close to the output of ported w/ 2 of the same subs in the same vehicle?

I wish I could... But definately no room for 2.

I MIGHT be able to do a sealed 15"... actually I know I can...

How much SPL would i lose going from a ported 12 to a sealed 15?

I would go for the single 12 ported, no doubt...

Well my buddy has 2 of the 10" type r's ported to my 2 12" sealed and I am running 1100 watts to his 1000. Mine is alot louder and cleaner sounding. Might be the acoustics of the ride though. I would do 2 12" sealed. I am sure you will be happy. What are you running power wise?
