Ported IDmax 12 for HT use ?

Alrite, have a lead on a 500 watt plate amp from dayton, and I've got the max that I'd like to get out of my car and into my room ...

Good Idea ? how do you think this sub would perform in the Home audio environment ? I'd port the box, I've got a 2.5 @ 28hz right now in my car, should I just throw that in the corner of my room have the port/sub fire into it ?
