Ported design

Im gonna port one of my JBL Power series 10s Im just not sure what the specs should be.

JBL recommends 1.25 cuft @ 33 hz on the new models. I have the older ones. 1.5-1.75cuft I think is what jbl recommended on them IIRC. Still dont know what tuning would be best for me tho. I want the lows to hit. Sound good but still get it loud. Maybe 32? What you guys think?

I'd do 1.5cf tuned to 27-29Hz. I had my W10GTi in 1.75cf tuned to 28Hz and it was awesome.

Yea I think thats coo. Cuz I know a couple of people that had their single 10 GTI in 1.5 @ 32 and they said that it sounded good. Might just do that.

Now I just need the design. Moe hit me up.

The 1.75 cuft one looks good but it is too tall. It cant be any more than 14 inches tall.

O shit nm... lol I read the design wrong. Its only 13 inches tall... haha. Hey but what about the disp. of the driver? I know its like .12 on my sub. How much would that change the tuning?

Actually the driver disp. is .133 cuft to be exact. Are those specs on the box already takin into account the driver disp.?

I'm guessing that it has been accounted for, but probably for a different sub.Either way I doubt you'd be able to hear a difference.

BTW: Your sub is not the GTI, so I have no idea why people keep bringing it up.Your sub is a completely different driver, just because it's JBL doesn't mean it'll share the same t/s parameters as the gti.

I dont think any one said that the Power series was the GTI...? It is the model right under the GTI tho.
