Ported build advive, need the do's and dont's!

Hey guys, first real ported build, looking for general guidlines, and rules I need to follow from experienced builders. Started a general thread on my situation ill post the link to for anyone who dosent care to give my build a closer look.

Mainly just looking for advice on basics, how close to follow manufacturer recommended specs, experience with ported trunk builds, anything really.

Anything you think of or believe a new guy trying to build a ported enclosure from the ground up should kno, or lookout for id love to hear.
