Ported 12w7 subsonic tuning?

If the box is tuned to 32hz, what is a good setting for subsonic filter to stop the sub from playing below tuning? The catch is I might be using a FMod highpass because the amp doesn't have a built-in subsonic filter. I'm trying to decide between the 30hz or 20hz highpass from Harrison labs?

30 hz would be too high for an enclosure tuning of 32hz. but I don't know if 20hz would be high enough for the W7.

ive been running a 10w7 ported with no subsonic filter. you should be fine without one but if you want one then 20hz should be fine. they stay in good controll an octave or so below tuning.

The amp has a lowpass xover that will be set at 80hz, but has no subsonic filter.

how much clean power do you have on tap? iam sending around 1100rms(fusion nvam2500d) to my 10w7 so if your at or under 1k you will be fine with out one.

the suspencion on the w7's are preaty good, even with only 1 spider.

you figure, 1 octave below 32hz is about 16hz. not too many songs with 16hz notes in them.

no prob. try it first with out the xo in place and see how it dose, i think you'll be fine.

rule of thumb you usually wanna go 10hz below box tuning.

I'm thinking about using a JBL GTO1201.1 II. I think it is 1113 @ 2ohm. I don't believe in the 500/1. I can get a Pdx1.1000 for $300, but I'm too cheap to get the Pdx4.100 to match. I hate running mismatch amps. That's enough power for it, right?

the w7 is 3 ohms so you should see 8-900 rms, that should be good and with that power you wont need a subsonic filter unless you plan on playing well below tuning at full volume.

What are you looking to spend on both amps?

1xx watt per channel 4 channel and an 800-1000w at 3 ohms mono
