Port volume separate from box volume?

I am designing a box using WiniSD. I have found a volume and tuning that I would like to use, but need to know if the port volume is separate from the internal box volume? For a simple example, if I want one cubic foot internal volume, and my port volume is .5 ft, is my finished box going to be a 1.5 foot volume box when measured?

Thanks! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks for the quick reply //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Makes my box a bit bigger but it will still work in my application.

Also, exactly how important is Vent mach? I have a reading of 0.06, that's low enough right?
