port upgrade for more DB?

I am running

mrp-m500 amp at 2 ohm 500rms

12" alpine type R mounted inverted (single cab truck)

2ft3 box currently with 3" inner diameter and 3.5" outer diameter 7" long pvc pipe port.

I have been contemplating on replacing the current port with a 4" diameter port as shown around 11" long for 32hz

would a 4" port add any significant spl increase?

Agreed, larger ports will usually increase output IF the suspension of the sub can handle it without bottoming out...
