Port Tunning for 13W7??

I have a newbie question on building a slot port for a 13W7. JL Audio recommends the port to be "2.0 in x 15.75 in x 25.375 in".

My question is what if I made two ports with the same width and height but devide the length by two. So basically two ports measuring "2.0 in x 15.75 in x 12.687 in"... would I have the same sound?

no, youll actually need to increase the port length. Each port will need to be around twice as long.

Yep, remember, anytime you increase area, you must increase length. You doubled area, so you're going to have to double length.

if you want two ports, then do two 1x15.75x25.375 ports. The port cannot be shorter unless you have less area or a higher tuning frequency.
