Port Tuning Help!

Hey there people, I've been having a tough time choosing what frequency I should tune my box to. I was thinking along the lines of low 20's like 25Hz but Im not sure if it would be to muddy, or if I should tune higher to maybe 29 or 30Hz. As for the sub I plan on getting a Eclipse Ti where the site recommends 27 Hz, so I was wondering if I should tune lower for more bass, higher to make it have good SPL and SQ, or if i should stay with the recommended 27Hz? Should I tune lower to hit those low bass notes? or should I tune higher to try get some gain in db? Or should I stay with the recommendations since they were the builders and should know best?
