port question on my box for 15" L5

ok so i've got this box designed but i'm not sure exactly how well it'll work so before i build it i'd like to get some other opinions. the box is 30" wide 28" long and 15" tall. i'm going to have the sub up and port firing up also. the port is 28.5" by 2". now i know thats going to look pretty stupid but i don't know how to do the math to change the port. it's supposed to be tuned to 35 to 36 hz. i just want to get everyone's opinion on if they think this box will work out.

port noise could be an issue because its so skinny.

so if build the port like that it'll still be tuned to what the other one was? and will i still make the port just as far into the box as i normally would with the other port size?

just remember width of port X height of port = port area. with that you can change anything up as long as you keep the same port area
