well my box is 34" wide, 14.75" tall and 14.75" deep. I had planned to use a sngle 6" aero port. I want to find out the length the pipe betwee the flares needs to be to get a 33hertz and 38hertz tuning.

I was told for 38 it would need to be 13.5" total counting the flares. now im wondering should the port be sticking out of the box a few inches or what since its only 14.75" deep?

it is very common having part of the port out of the box

it only affects the vb not the tuning you just have to account for the minor vb difference.

4" is way to small you will have port noise bro

3.3 cubes. and box is actually 14.75 deep plus .75 for second baffle
