i remember from awhile back when i bought my Kicker prebuilt box and sub the sales person showed me what port loading can accomplish. he used one of the display speakers and faced the port into open air and played a song. then he faced the port against the wall(cant remember how far away it was) and played the song again. the diference was fairly noticible. the sub played a bit lower and sounded better overall.
now im wondering if there is some kind of rule to properly load the port of an enclosure. hell, im not even sure if it is called port loading, but it sounds right.
