Port diameter.

I have a friend and we are building a ported box for his subs,He doesnt have much room to play around with,So does the diameter of the pipe make a difference,I think it all translates into more port noise right?(the smaller the port)Thanks for any help.

To eliminate port noise, you could do a slot port, doesnt take up too much room, depending on tuning, just liek the round ones.

If the subs really throw you'll want a lot of port area. If not then don't worry about it. Only when they really start moving air does the size of the port get in the way.
