port bend...which way is correct?

If i needed 20" of port total and have to bend the port which way is the correct way to do it? The first picture or the second?

well i need the port to bed becuase my box isnt long enough to make a port straight 20". this box isnt accurate with mine but what im asking is how long to make the port i guess.

like for the part of the port before the bend do i measure to the back wall of the box or to where i would bend it and start the second part of the port. I dont really know how to explain it i hoped the pictures were self explanitory.

measure to the end of the first port wall + half the port width, down the center of the first port length, then from there out

You are forgetting end correction. The port actually extends 1/2 the ports width past the second port baffle.

Moe, does this stay true with Aeroports?

I.E. If I use WinISD and it says '10 inches of port length' out of a 4" Aero, do I make the aero 8 inches long?

Those lines plus 1/2 the port width. Like this:

So the total port length is 2+7+14.25 = 23.25" effective length.
