Popping noise? (video)

first thing, i would switch rcas with another amp, and see if it's the output on the hu..... what amp is it? is it something that just started with the amp? could be a number of things. the pop when starting after a resting period comes from a circuit charging up......

well, other than checking your rcas and grounds, it sounds like the anti-thump circuit is fail. if it's still under warrenty, you could send it back, otherwise, check the caps, and look for dry connections on the board.

Amp has a bad cap or a resistor in the turn on circut going out.
Could be. I had to repair this one , i got it with a bad gate resistor and a burnt set of output finals. replaced the parts and it works great. Just has the pop. But i didnt check the caps , no leaks that i seen though.

amp was made almost 10 years ago. LOL. and all my connections are fine. Its more than likely something internal.

hey shinju , there was one more resistor i had to replace , the original (checked the good ones on the non failed channels) was a 620 ohm 1/2 watt resistor , i bought some off ebay and they read 617 ohms. Maybe take that back out and find one thats exactly 620 ohms? Also i think the tolerance is worse on the resistors i bought. The gate resistor i replaced came out of a dead PPI , it reads perfect , identical to the originals , but the 620 ohm resistor is definetly not as high quality as the original. umm..........oh , the finals i put in were exact matches from the original manufacturer.
