Popping noise, is it normal?

I've had a 12" RE SeXXX for over 2 years now and for the time I have owned it there has been a very slight pop whenever the sub has excersion(basically when it has power and pushes outward). You can only hear it when you have the hatch open, not from up front or outside with the hatch closed. Its not getting overpowered and has done it in both enclosures I have had it in. Is this normal? My previous JL 10" didn't but they were in a sealed box not ported. Also the specs for the enclosures are correct for the sub as well. It's not the amp either cause it has done it with both the JL500/1 and my current PG 600/1. Thanks

Sounds like a connection. Ive seen this problem arise from broken terminals/connections inside an amp. Im sure someone else can elaborate more on this. Good luck.
