Popping noise from subwoofer

Ok, when i turn the deck on and the amp gets a signal, the subwoofer pops quick like its getting tons of power. Then it works fine. when i turn the radio or car off, it pops again. I believe it pops when i run the volume down to zero also. I changed the rcas since i thought it was that at first, but that did not solve the problem. I might ground the rcas next to see if it will help. anyone know why this happens?

So i did some trial and error, I hooked a ground to the RCAs, I tried several different spots, and still no luck. But i unhooked the subwoofer rca and plugged it into the front out and then the rear out, and there was no popping at all. i found out that my oil pressure gauge, which is placed right above the cd player, was leaking oil onto the deck. im sure that is what caused the problem, now how can i figure this out?
