poppin fuses

i have a few questions. First ive had my system hooked up for about 2 months. Just the other day the fuse block in the power wire got really hot and melted. It also kept poppin fuses in the line. Ive checked all the wires nothin is touching. Does anyone have any answer to this? Do i have the subs wired wrong to the amp?

The only thing that'll blow fuses is too much current; That's accomplished by drawing more current than the fuse is rated for, usually a short circuit.

Check your power lead; Probably contacting the chassis. Maybe some stray strands on the power lead are touching ground somewhere?

Sub wiring to the amp shouldn't do it - unless your amp pulls more current than the fuse's rating.

The wire you are using is probably too small to handle that much current. I say probably because This Thread Gives power ratings for a 20' section of wire, and you are using more power than recommended, so you need to upgrade the wire size, after all the fuse protects the wire not the equipment.
