Hmm....Documentary on the Science Channel. They altered genes in chickens to make curved teeth like dinosaurs, and to have scales. These chickens couldn't be born due to laws, but the embryos showed the adaptations.

Nuclear power plants emit zero greenhouse gases. It is a very viable alternative to fossil fuels, but fear based on ignorance leads people to shy away from nuclear power.Never said those people were smart. I really don't like researching global warming because it's so riddled on both sides with political drama. And I've heard it. I've also heard that microwaves create cancerous food, that computers are trying to take over the world, and etc. People are incredibly stupid and have no idea what they're talking about. For instance, I have no idea what people blame global warming on because most of it is idiotic.
I have now learned from a quick Google search that people are proposing to rely more on nuclear energy to stop global warming. Honestly, I don't think nuclear energy is the right way to go either. But that's a different topic for shiz.
Proof that you are a complete fucking moron.Because someone is taking advantage of something doesn't mean that something doesn't exist. If you don't think climate change is real, then you're completely ignorant and need to go back to sleep.
To say it's caused by cars, nuclear plants, etc., is neither here nor there; but climate change is real. It's observable. It's happening.
Call Japan and ask them how safe water based plants are. Yes, the tsunami was the cause of the melt down or partial melt down like that makes it better. I don’t live in cali or near fault lines but you better believe sometime in the future an earthquake will occur and then will see how lil we really know about nuclear safety. I am all for Nuclear plants but most of our plants are decades old and are located in areas of the country that have a history of quakes. It will happen it’s just a matter of time. But like everything else in America we refuse to think it will happen till it happens. Good luck to my fellow cali based members.Nuclear power plants emit zero greenhouse gases. Chernobyl was a dangerous design. It was/is a "dry pile", US based nuclear plants are water cooled. Dry piles rely on a large mound of carbon blocks for cooling the rods. The rods are simply set into the pile, and the heat from the rods dissipates into the carbon pile. The problem is, this carbon pile can only dissipate so much heat, once its critical temp is reached, it will get hotter and hotter until failure is eminent and unstoppable. That is what happened at Chernobyl, the pile over heated and it went critical.
US plants rely on water being pumped through the tank the rods are submerged into, to cool the rods. As you can imagine, this design means fresh water can be used to replace the overheated water, to continually keep the system from overheating and going critical. Japan's reactors have a 'wet core', but they did not take a tsunami into consideration when designing their backup power system. The wave(s) submerged the backup generators, and even washed away the tanks holding the fuel to power those generators. Nuclear power, as a fuel alternative, shold not be blamed for poor designs implemented in the past. We learn from our mistakes, and we can build an almost certainly worry-free nuclear plant here in the US. France relies on nuclear power for approx 80% of their electricity, for example.
The US has only built one dry pile ever, the very first one, the Manhattan Project. This reactor was built to learn about nuclear reactors, we quickly realized the inherent dangers in this design, and never built another one. USSR was some cheap bastards, they built the cheapest reactors they could... dry piles.
Microwaves do not cause cancer. Most people seem to think they cook the food by irradiating it. No radiation is produced by a microwave, zero. Microwaves use microwaves (go figure) to energize the molecules in the food. This energy makes the molecules vibrate. As they vibrate, they rub against each other, causing friction. This friction causes heat, and it is that heat that cooks the food. You are just as likely to get radiation sickness, or a brain tumor, from rubbing your hands together in the winter to keep them warm, as you are from a microwave.
Actually, it's proven that the earth goes through 500 year cycles of heat>cool>heat etc. ATM we're nearing the end of a 500 year warming cycle. The earth has an ecosystem that allows for it to correct itself to stay stable for the long haul. Humans have such a minuscule effect that it is both negligible and nigh acquit able.Because someone is taking advantage of something doesn't mean that something doesn't exist. If you don't think climate change is real, then you're completely ignorant and need to go back to sleep.

I already addressed the Japanese plant problems, so I really dont need to call them. Thanks for the suggestion though.Call Japan and ask them how safe water based plants are.
