**** Poor Radio Reception. Go aftermarket?? Test something??

I suppose I could use the hole for my powerred antenna and just take it out and mount a new one there....

Ill have to see how it comes out, hopefully without removing the fender

When I had my saturn the stock antenna plug was the same size as the socket on the aftermarket stereo so I had to get an adapter. Maybe your antenna isn't snug in the stereo's socket?

Just get a separate ant. I had one in my caprice years ago.. It came in 2 pc's. There was a long wire, at one end was the input to the deck and the other end stuck to the rear window. Then you stick a 6" mast that also has double sided tape on the opposite side of where you placed the inside part. Worked well and was cheapish.

Something like that. There's all diff kinds.

I was hoping to not have to run anything to the back of my car, was hoping to either keep it on the fender, inside the car, or mounted to the oem antenna location

Try bypassing as many of the internal electronic pieces as you can. I'd try to connect the head unit to the powered antenna directly, using new wiring. If you're still running into issues, try the head unit with an entirely separate antenna.

Thats what I want to buy, I dont want to mess with any of the crap behind my dash. I want to buy an antenna that I mount were ever it needs to be mounted, and run its antenna line straight to the back of the headunit, direct

Figured that would work best, where the hell can I buy that

How do you run new wire to the bottom of the antenna straight from the headunit?? You can just buy a length?? I guess I need to pull off my antenna and see how exactly the wire connects to it.
