So my Orion components say nothing about how to wire for the input. There is a tweet input and a woofer input. There is also a "parallel" or "Biwire" switch. The manual says nothing about the connections or switch. I emailed Orion (Directed) about this because I thought it kind of sucked that the manual left such an important thing out. I also gave the guy a very little bit of crap about Directed not building Orion amps as Orion used to. He thought otherwise but thats not the issue. Anyway he replied and said "it shouldn't matter" and "some basic troubleshooting would allow you to figure it out. I don't feel we should have "figure it out". Anyway here is my response to him. Am I wrong about this issue? Is it to much to ask for clear directions? Or is this normal practice?
Thanks for the quick response. The differences from then until now are different in some respects than others. I don't want to argue about that crap and perhaps I went a bit overboard and got away from my question. But you did not give me a straight answer. You said "it shouldn't matter". It might not matter or it does not matter? It apparantly does not matter but I don't want to ruin these speakers. Would you not agree that an instruction manual should have clear wiring instructions instead of making the installer do "very basic troubleshooting." As an installer I should not have to "figure out" the wiring. It should be a "very simple straight-forward install" if the instructions were that way. And don't give me this crap about taking it to someone to install it like I don't know what I am doing. All I am saying is how am I suposed to know how the crossover was designed and therefor how to connect the inputs without instructions? There is also a "parallel" and "Biwire" switch that obviously needs to be in the right position for the input configuration. Again I don't want to ruin the speakers. So if it really doesn't matter let me know. I would like to use the woofer input. Sorry for being like this I just feel that the instructions should not leave questions open like this.
