polyfill?

ok i have a 12" punch in a truck box but i looked up the specs for it and my box is quite a bit too small... i know its not at its maximum performance right now.

ive heard polyfill inside your enclosure will "trick" the sub into thinking that it is in a bigger box..? is this true? does it work well or effect sound quality?

Yes it works and use 1 pound per cubic ft of space.

I have heard of adding it to ported enclosures. Its more common for sealed though.
