Poly-fill in boxes?

there is a lot more to poly fill than just putting it in a box and hoping for better sound. a lot depends on driver enclosure requirement and box displacement. it's not as simple as my sub sounds like pooh let me add poly fill than your sounds sounds awesome.

So speaking of that site which is very informative.

Seems the tuned frequency lowers by ~5hz or so.

I plan on building a box shortly and can only get 3.55 net cubes for 2x Alpine Type R's. Should I poly-fill it and tune the box for 40hz which should net me 35hz?

The design I'm working on will be removable external round ports so it will e easy to change compared to an L port box. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.
