I really have mixed feelings over these two choices...reason being is this. No matter what brand I go with to purchase a BNIB 200A alternator, it will run around $600. Now im sure those alts. may be more consistant and efficient then one that is rebuilt...but when I'm only going to be running around 4k-5k watts, I really don't feel I will need an alternator with a voltage regulator, which is one option that adds alot of cost to the alternator.
In town I can get my Alt. rebuilt to 200A for around $200-250. In my opinion this will be more cost efficient for me, but the alternator is only covered for 30 DAYS! Although I've heard good things about this shop, I'm scared that if i get this done too soon there, and dont have the setup up and running for a lil over a month, then I really won't be able to tell if the alternator is in perfect working order under the conditions it was rebuilt for, thus leaving me out of $200-$250.
I would just prefer any opinions on one side or the other..
Thanks
Dustin
