While I appreciate any suggestions, I am definitely leaning toward the IDMAX. I've wanted to hear one for such a long time. I really need to invest some time learning more about car audio, but does it matter which version of the sub I get? The 4 ohm or 2 ohm. I'm pretty sure it could be wired either way, but not sure if one would be easier on the amp?Image Dynamics > Sundown any day.
You have to be careful of the nut huggers. They will recommend Sundown over anything around here even if it doesnt fit the bill.
What do you have? I almost put my W7 on the Pcola Craigslist today. I haven't done enough research yet to get fully involved though.trade me lol I am local
Running 4 ohms is easier on the amp than 2 or 1 ohms. However, with a quality amp it doesnt matter. All the impedance does is give you different ways to wire your sub for a given amp to achieve the power output you want on the amp. While I appreciate any suggestions, I am definitely leaning toward the IDMAX. Who's making the best neo subwoofers right now?If you're trying to save weight, get a neo sub and make your box with arauco or Baltic birch.
I'm honestly not sure if you're more concerned with SQ. Maybe someone else can chime in on this one.Who's making the best neo subwoofers right now?
I suppose I could. I was going off the SD-2's recommended 500 RMS paired to my 500/1.If you are not limited on depth why not go with the SA series instead of the SD series?
