poll... aq hdc3 vs. ia DP vs. treo ssx

tis a boner for a reason. You get a LOT of sub for the $$$. And my copper HDC's sound VERY good.
Sleepy_jr runs 2 18's and has a STUPID loud daily set up. All around great subs IMO...

i'm realizing that my quest to be different may be a bad idea, probably go with an hdc 15 or 18, but i do like the DP as well but there won't be an 18" in that equation

mounting depth, i've got 10" of mounting depth
hdc3 18 - 10.25

dp 18 - 11.125

ssx 18 - 9.5

the only one that would fit is the ssx 18

oh yeh i forgot about the depth

i thought about this but from a money standpoint, a high powered 15" is cheaper than 2 mid power 12's, unless someones got 2 sdc2.5 12's for 250 or less lol

If I were you, with that much space and power, I'd look into:

(2) 12'' SSA Icons, (2) 12'' AA Havocs, (2) 12'' Mach 5 IXLs, (1) 15'' Nightshade, (1) 15'' DP

I'm betting the 2 12" SDC's would be louder then the single 15" HDC //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Save a little more $$$ and you'll happy with that decision.

I did a box for 2 15" SDC's off an AQ 1200D and that thing kills the lows. VERY impressive low budget/power set up

Is your budget $250? I think you might have said that in one of your posts. You should have no problem finding a used 15'' Fi BL, Fi Q, and I'm pretty sure I saw an older DP with quad coils for sale in your price range.

I have 2 18 HDC's and they are loud as hell, however I voted for the Treo because they are beastly subs and can get crazy loud on little power. I wish I had a Treo dealer round me cause i would have done 2 SSX 18's

Is your budget $250? I think you might have said that in one of your posts. You should have no problem finding a used 15'' Fi BL, Fi Q, and I'm pretty sure I saw an older DP with quad coils for sale in your price range.

i saw the DP, very very tempting, theres also a dc lvl 4 18 for sale im looking at

theres a Q in there too, i like the Q it was originally what i was looking for because it has good sq but it hits the lows with authority, however when comparing it to the copper coil hdc3, the hdc3 isn't too far off in sq gets louder and hits the lows just as hard, and i can run more power to it.
