I dunno about the treo but I owned both the HDC3 and the DP... THe DP sounds good and gets loud but the HDC3 gets louder but dosent sound as good as the DP... So it depends on what you want more of

O I had the Aluminum coil HDC3... I heard the Copper coil sounds better then the Aluminum so thats something to think about

if i could fit a 21" dp in my standard cab truck... i would just to say "i have a 21" subwoofer in my truck" lol i honestly would but i've got 6cubes to work with, i could squeeze in 9-10 if i did a wall, but i've only got 10" mounting depth... trust me i've thought about it i've gone over mental pics the 21" just isn't gunna fit, but thanks for the review the motors are the same so your review is relevant regardless i appreciate it

mounting depth, i've got 10" of mounting depth

hdc3 18 - 10.25

dp 18 - 11.125

ssx 18 - 9.5

the only one that would fit is the ssx 18

i have a 15" ssx in a abc ox so a lil different. not as loud as an aq hd3, but sounds better...never heard a dp yet. good comparison though. i was also lookin into gettin a hdc instead of my ssx

lol im trying so hard to get away from the hdc3 cuz its like the current boner sub, but there appears to be an obvious reason why its kick *** lol

tis a boner for a reason. You get a LOT of sub for the $$$. And my copper HDC's sound VERY good.

Sleepy_jr runs 2 18's and has a STUPID loud daily set up. All around great subs IMO...

lol yes ram 2002, 10.75" deep, 60" wide, 24" to the window line, its actually 7 cubes gross but i figure after port (aero) and bracing i've only got 6 net to work with
