Polk MOMO mmx6500 vs CDT EF-61CFi

I am wanting to upgrade from my stock speakers. They will go in the stock door position for now and possibly be built some kicks or other installation later on. Haven't got an amp yet so wattage is not a concern. I have heard the polk comps and thought they sounded great. Haven't heard the CDT myself but have heard they are nice. I can get them around the same price, a little under 200 new.

Which do you recommend between these two or other comparitively priced comps?

Also, I will be running 3 12 w6v2's and it is in a 2000 2dr blazer. I heard that the momo's have excellent midbass, anyone can confirm that??

Amazing midbass and great if you love rap. I love mine to death and don't want to trade them but will soon for a pair of Boston Pro50's. But anways. I'm totaly gonna have to say go with the Polks, they are simply amazing speakers for the price.

Hey wow...I actually wanted to run that same setup up 2 12w6v2's? How are they? does it get really loud? What amp are you using to power them?

I planned on doing 4, but couldnt manage to fit them in the box I am making. So I am only running 3. I have a Viper 2500.1 to power them. Havent finished the box so I cant tell you how loud they are.

How bout those polk 6x9's you got? How much did they cost and also how much wattage are you giving you speakers? I am trying to figure out which speaker 4 channel I to get. I wont be able to find one to match the viper, so Its not going to show. I am looking for the cheapest one per watt.

i am neither a fan of polk nor cdt either although they have their places cdt is good for when you dont wanna put speakers in a good location but they are VERY laid back. as for the polks i havent heard a set i liked but then again thats opinion but the ones i owned 10 yrs ago lead me to not ever want them again.

Well i am looking to spend no more than 200. I am leaning toward the polks because I have heard them and I have read only but positive things about them.

I am pretty sure i am going get the momo 6x9's mmc690 i think.

so now I will need a 125 x 4 @ 4 ohm amp. any thoughts?

no I am runnin' mine 75 x 4 I would recomend not stepping any higher then that. They love the power I'm giving them. But yeah those rears in my opinion are amazing. For rear fill you will not go wrong. But hey PM me when your done with you 3 w6v2's and tell me wether or not they will hit louder then 2 Kicker L7's. Cause I really want 3 of those!

Why do you not reccomend giving them more than 75 watts?

I absolutly love my cdt's. In my application they sound amazing. They are the Hd not Ef series but alot of people have really like the carbon fiber cone CDt stuff.
