i have an alpine amp and i love it. it puts out its rated power.

Are they underrated, clean? What would you compare them to?

Alpine makes great amps but are a lil overpriced. Not way overpriced tho... good clean power that puts out what its rated at. My old md300 was great.

they don't have any amps that are rated for 1 ohm operation, which might be a handicap if your subs need that. Then again, neither do my Tantrums...other than that (possible) restriction, they're excellent...

above post was in reference to Alpine only, to clear up any possible confusion. I've seen Polk amplifiers at CC, but never owned one or installed one.
