If your subs are hooked up to the wrong polarity can it damage or blow your amp?

not really, but if you have a dual voice coil sub make sure they're hooked up for the right load to the amp.

No. There really isn't a 'wrong' polarity. Wiring them inversely will simply cause a shift in position of the waveform at a given time.
