What do you think about the 5512?I have one that I was debating on runnin (no amp yet)
mtx actually makes a good sub all the way up the line. i really like the 8500's. probably my favorite from mtx. the 9500 are huge 10's. basket seems a little flimsy imo for a sub that large. the 5500's are decent subs also. not overly loud, but they sound pretty good.

8500 is a sq sub right?I always wanted to try a 9500 series as well
lol, no. Maybe SQL. I know a guy who has 2 MTX 8512's (MTX 81001 for an amp) and they are pretty **** loud. I have heard single 12" 5500 set ups (Sister runs it, uses an mtx 3602 I think is the model number) and they sound pretty good and fill in the low end nicely.

i'll be honest on what i think...the 9500 series mtx is pure crap. the 8500 and 7500 series are pretty good and sound decently well. but the 9500 series is plain junk. idk why anybody on the forums would run that sub. crappy as hell

Thanks for giving us your reasoning.
